Lightweight but easy to use and carries up to 22 kg!

The Jobu Design Heavy Duty Gimbal Head MkIV is Jobu Design's ideal jib head for heavier lenses of medium length, up to 22 kg.

It supports up to 22 kg while keeping friction if necessary to have a small resistance to movement and avoid losing its framing.

Pendulum head or swivel head

A Jobu Design Heavy Duty MkIV (DMG-HD4) pendulum head, also called a swivel head, has been designed to provide complete freedom of movement. The tripod supports a camera and lens at their natural point of equilibrium so that they do not inadvertently tip over. In fact, you hang the camera with (tele) lens in a pendulum suspension bracket, hence the name pendulum head. They are ideal for nature photography, counting planes and horse riding.

New CNC swingarm

In response to consumer questions, Jobu Design designed the Heavy Duty MkIV. The BWG-HD4 weighs only 1010 grams. In addition, this pendulum head is considerably more rigid than its brother. The new CNC swingarm has been upgraded with a horizontal machined solid aluminum arm and therefore offers better control for big targets when it comes to vibration. The powder coating on the main body and the black anodized aluminum parts make this pendulum head durable and weather resistant strength.

In addition, the Jobu Design BWG-HD4 can be used super-flexibly. The same needle bearing as in the Jr. 3 swivel head ensures unprecedented flexibility in control and smooth movement of the tilt axis, even with a heavy camera / lens combination the horizontal friction remains zero. Rubberized adjustment knobs for adjusting the degree of friction make the control comfortable, making it easy to aim the jib head, even with gloves on!

The BWG-HD4 is suitable for lenses and cameras weighing up to 22 kg.

A 600mm f / 4 with a professional body is no problem.

Jobu Design recommends the use of the jib head in combination with a sturdy tripod with a 3/8 inch screw thread, a tray for Jobu Design Surefoot lens (or other tray compatible with Arca-Swiss) and a lens with a removable tripod mount. Short nodes and wide-angle lenses can be used with the special WAA angle adapter. The MkIV is supplied with the Surefoot SF-NXK lens tray. This 3 inch lens tray is suitable for smaller lenses and camera body. Also, the hex key and a 1 / 4-3 / 8 inch adapter ring are included in the Mk IV kit.
