The DR-07MKII is a high-quality portable stereo recorder that stores data on microSD or microSDHC card in high audio resolution (up to 24-bit/96 kHz).

The pair of integrated cardioid microphones absorb a high maximum sound pressure level. It is configurable in AB or XY orientation, depending on whether the width of the sound image or the clarity of reproduction is preferred, with the minimum phase difference between the channels.

The TASCAM DR-07 MKII portable stereo recorder also allows you to connect an external microphone, or a line source such as a guitar via its stereo mini-jack input, providing power to microphones requiring an external bias voltage ('Plug- in Power'). Common functions such as recording, adjusting levels, deleting unnecessary takes or placing markers are carried out by pressing a single button.

Other available functions include a limiter, a high-pass filter (Low-Cut), Variable Speed ??Audition playback mode and an integrated chromatic tuner.

You will also be able to apply one of the six available reverb effects to the input or output signal. The Overdub function allows you to overlay a new recording onto an existing audio file.

The Peak Reduction function automatically reduces the level to prevent accidental distortion. It works both in Rehearsal and recording mode, and can be combined with the built-in limiter.

You will also have a Level Align function, preventing any sudden level jumps during playback. The DR-07MKII includes a built-in speaker for quick sound checking.

Internally, the TASCAM DR-07 MKII portable stereo recorder's analog and digital circuitry is separated to improve signal-to-noise performance, and the low-impedance design reduces hiss.

The A/D and D/A converters feature a separate voltage source, improving sound quality, signal-to-noise ratio, distortion and frequency response.

The DR-07MKII runs on two LR06 [AA] batteries, ensuring a battery life of over 17 hours, even in CD quality recording. It can also be powered via the USB bus or via a power adapter (not included).
