Photographers looking for an easily transportable and small head will be delighted by the Jr 3 deluxe pendulum head from Jobu Design.

The DeLuxe version of the Junior Kit 3 has a pendulum arm in which the arca fixing vice is molded (like its elders HD3 and Pro2).

As a result, it is possible to use slightly larger lenses such as the 300 2.8 for example if they are equipped with arca "Low Profile" replacement handles such as the LF-N504LP from Jobu Design compatible with the 300 F2.8 VR and the 200-400 VR. It is possible to use it with a Canon or Nikon 500 F4 but change the foot of the lens to reduce the center of gravity and slightly reduce the weight.

Needle bearings allow for greater precision with heavy loads and the best adjustment of friction. Locking strength has been improved by 200%, and overall longevity has been improved in every aspect.

Note: Caution! we found that the ORIGINAL (ARCA type) SIGMA 60-600mm lens plates were not compatible with the JR3 DELUXE model (the vise does not tighten the lens grip sufficiently). Consider using another NX3 type chainring for the 60-600 mm.

NOTE ON LARGE LENSES: If you are using a large Canon or Nikon lens, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND using a replacement Jobu Design tripod, such as the LF-C604 or LF-N604. A replacement foot will lower the center of gravity of your lens and make it lighter. In most cases, large lenses with large lens collar feet CANNOT balance on a Jr.3 DLX without a LENS FOOT. We recommend replacement feet for the Nikon 300F2.8, 200-400, 500F4 and 600 F4, and the Canon 500F4 (IS 1 and 2) and 600F4 (IS1 and 2) and 400 F2.8 IS. Users of the new Sigma Sport 150-600 and 500mm F4 should also get the LF-S156S or LF-S504 respectively.
