A metal shoe with a faster screwing/unscrewing system and safety pin unlocking with just 1 movement (there were 7 to 8 movements on flash units equipped with a plastic shoe)

A new slave function which allows the METZ 58 AF-2 flash to be triggered remotely from any device simply by triggering the device's flash. However, the remote flash settings will have to be done manually.

The wireless mode reception LED, which was previously placed between the body and the rotating head, is placed on the left side to provide better reception in wireless mode.

A new zoom head motor and a newly designed flash tube with extended lifespan take place in this new version.

The wide-angle diffuser extending from the flash head has been redesigned to now cover focal lengths starting at 12mm instead of 18mm on the METZ 58 AF-1.

The power and the rest of the characteristics are unchanged, so we find a guide number of 58 to 105mm.

Like its predecessor the Metz 58 AF-1, the METZ 58 AF-2 flash is equipped with a USB port. It can be used to easily update firmware via computer with an Internet connection.

It is stylish, features automatic exposure adjustment, intuitive to use and extremely powerful! It is equipped with a high-performance power management system, multi-area AF metering and a swivel reflector.

The METZ 58 AF-2 flash can be rotated vertically and horizontally for perfect bounce control. It always includes a retractable reflective card.
