The VEO Active 53 backpack is a stylish yet robust 45 liter trekking backpack, with a removable inner bag for your camera kit.

When used for your camera kit, the Detachable Camera Bag is designed to carry a professional DSLR with grip and 6-7 lenses (up to 400mm f2.8 or 200-600mm zoom), but its Customizable interior can be configured to protect a wide range of valuable kit. The insert bag's top lid is designed to fold down and store behind the insert bag inside the backpack, so you can open it for easy rear access to your full kit. Or you can zip it up for extra protection when access isn't needed on the go, or when you want to take your camera kit home and use it as an everyday backpack.

The backpack itself has several pockets and compartments. This includes two inside pockets for a 16 inch laptop (compartment measures 310 x 35 x 370 mm) and a 10 inch tablet, a separate top compartment for the personal kit (or more camera kit), a side pocket for a 2 liter hydration pocket, elasticated side a secure back pocket for valuables (like a wallet or passport) and stretch pockets on the shoulder harness. It also includes a pocket for your accessories, such as cables, batteries and SD cards, and a separate multifunction pouch that can be used to keep a spare lens (up to 70-200mm) close at hand.

Two rear straps allow you to mount a full-size tripod in the center of the back, providing optimal balance over long distances. Alternatively, you can attach a tripod to the side.

There is also a USB port interface that allows you to carry your power bank of choice in the top compartment and connect it to your device to stay charged while on the go.

When used as an everyday backpack, simply remove the inner camera bag (which will keep your camera kit safe at home) and you're good to go. You can then stick with the rear access or use the top-to-bottom side access.

As this series is designed to carry larger kits over longer distances, special attention has been paid to ergonomics to provide maximum comfort. This includes a reinforced aluminum frame which increases the level of protection for your kit and stiffens the rear of the backpack. This is shaped to follow the curve of the upper spine. On the back itself there is a padded waist pad and shoulder pads, with a wide airflow system. The shoulder straps are also well padded with an adjustable sternum strap, and there's a padded hipbelt to distribute the load. The belt can be removed or secured around the pack when not in use, so it won't flap around on shorter trips.

To cope with the rigors of nature, the VEO Active series is made of rugged 840D Cordura nylon that is highly weather and tear resistant, with waterproof zippers and quality chevrons and reverse double stitching. For wetter days, the VEO Active includes a rain cover.
