MAJOR TRIPOD CENTRE COLUMN TILT PATFORM

This accessory platform fits in place of the standard Major tripod centre column pillar guide unit. It provides a very stable platform and reduces vibrations to a minimum.

It is ideal for mounting camera heads with the larger 3/8" (9.53mm) thread. Always use a camera head as the platform is not designed to accept cameras fitted directly to it.

To fit the tilt platform, it is first necessary to remove the original tripod centre column. To do this, unscrew the main tripod locking lever and remove it, including the washers, from the end of the bent bolt. Slide off the outer leg and wedge, then the centre leg along with the centre column pillar guide. Fit the tilt platform over the centre leg swivel, in place of the centre column pillar guide. Refit the components in the reverse order to their removal. The sketch illustrates the relationship of each component.
