The Song Meter Mini offers a smaller, lighter and more affordable alternative to the Song Meter SM4. The built-in microphone provides excellent recording quality, comparable to the microphone for SM4. This is a simple but innovative device for recording birds, amphibians and other species that communicate in the frequency of audible sounds.

 

The recorder comes with a field-usable microphone for high-quality recordings and a second microphone (available separately) can be added for stereo recordings.

 

It is possible to check the device status and change settings via Bluetooth using an app that can be downloaded to your iOS or Android phone or tablet. There is also an option to set the location of your Song Meter Mini using your mobile phone's GPS. The app is simple to use and allows you to manage multiple recorders at once. Checking the status of your recorder can also be done using the indicator lights on the device.
